Totaali-objekti

Doing something until it's completed. Objeckti sentences that do not use Partitiivi.

Loneliness can cause ... This uses regular partitiivi objekti since it can't be completed in full.

There are two objects here, but hissiä is partitive since its negative.

Mä syön tomaatiia = I'm eating a tomato
Mä söin tomaatin = I ate a (whole) tomato
Joka päivä mä syön tomaatin = Every day I eat a (whole) tomato

Mä ostan uutta sohvaa = I'm buying a new sofa (process - not completed)
Huomenna mä ostan uuden sohvan = Tomorrow I will buy a new sofa (entire - completing the process)

Mä ostan lahjaa = I'm buying a gift (ongoing process)
Mä sain lahjan = I received a gift (completed)

Mä pesen ikkunaa = I'm washing a window
Mä pesin ikkunaa eilen = I washed the window yesterday (unfinished, I washed some of it)
Mä pesin ikkunnan eilen = I washed the window yesterday (completed)

Totaaliobjecti nominatiivissa

Mun täytyy syödä tomaatti = I have to eat the tomato (Nominattivi)
Osta uusi sohva! Buy a new sofa!
