This model analyzes pollen data to determine land use changes through time

• Inputs are pollen counts and estimates of pollen productivity (used to adjust the pollen% to adjust and show actural land cover)

• There is a difference between pollen counts from large sites and target sites (local)
• These two models can compare the local and regional pollen proportions
• For recent pollen, we can compare with actual observed vegetation cover and see that the model is more or less accurate
