Näetkö sä meidät? / Näetks sä meidät? - I have to choose.
Mun täytyy valitse. - You have to go to sleep.
Sun täytyy mennä nukkumaan. - We have to buy lettuce.
Meidän täytyy ostaa salaattia. - The student has to go to the library.
Opiskeljan täytyy mennä kirjastoon. / Opiskeljan täytyy käydä kirjastossa. - I should go to the store.
Mun täytyy mennä kauppaan. (better: Mun täytyy käydä kaupassa) - We should meet.
Meidän täytyy tavata. - I should go.
Mun täytyy lähtea/mennä. - We don’t need to talk about the test.
Meidän ei tarvitse puhua testistä - I don’t have to do much.
Mun ei tarvitse tehdä paljon - I like beautiful, sunny weather.
Mä tykkään kauniistä, aurinkosta säästä. - I don’t like porridge.
Mä en tykkää puurosta - We like a cold winter.
Me tykkäämme kylmästä talvesta. - We’re chatting about the summer and about vacation.
Me jutelemme kesästä ja lomasta. - Antti told us about the trip.
Antti kertoo meidät matkallasta. - She often writes about politics.
Hän usein kirjoitaa politiikasta. - Salmiakki tastes salty.
Salmiakki maistuu suolaiselta - This tastes bad!
Tämä maistuu huonolta! - This does not look good.
Tämä ei näyttä hyvältä. - Mari does not look sad.
Mari ei näyttä surulliselta. - The boss does not look satisfied (= tyytyväinen).
Pomo ei näyttä tyytyväiseltä. - This room is for our son.
Tämä huone on meidän pojalle. - Call mom!
Soita äidille! - He got a present from his team.
Hän saa lahja tiimiltä. - I’ll call you in the evening.
Mä soin sälle illalla. - I won’t borrow money from a colleague.
Mä en lainasi kollegilta. - I can lend it to you (plural).
Mä voin lainaa sen sulle.
